This Has Been Absolutely Lovely

Families can be complicated. Annie Jones is looking forward to having control of her own life for a while after many years of dedicating her time to bringing up her children and looking after her parents before they died. Annie had been a member of a singing group, The Love Triangle. Then she married fellow band member, Paul, and had her first child. Her career was then placed on hold. 

Her three children are now grown up and her third grandchild is due. Annie and Paul divorced long ago and Paul is now in a relationship with Brian, the third member of the former singing group. Annie should now be free to decide what she wants to do in the future. Perhaps she may even once more have a career in music.

The extended family has arrived at the family home for Christmas. Some are not sure when they will leave again. For many years Annie's father had continued a feud with next door neighbour, Ray. Then Ray's son comes to look after his father who is dying. The next door neighbours are invited to Christmas dinner which does not go as planned as long held family secrets are revealed.
