Set in Winnipeg, Canada, where winter temperatures can fall
to as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius, this novel covers the attempts of tour guide, Harlow Close, in locating her father who has disappeared from his
home. When the police do not appear to be taking Scott's disappearance
seriously, Harlow does all she can to discover what has happened to her father.
However, Harlow soon realises that she does not know who she can trust. As the
investigation continues, Harlow also realises that she does not know as much as
she thought about the life of her father. She also realises that her life is in danger. Who is behind these events and why?
Reading Cold Truth by Ashley Kalagian Blunt will make the reader wary of using their many electronic devices and trusting their online data again. Cold Truth is definitely a book of the twenty-first century.
I am now going to look for other books to read written by this author.
Many thanks to Ultimo Press and Better Reading - #BRPreview - for the opportunity to read a review copy of this gripping crime novel that readers will want to just keep reading until the end.
